New Pulsar HP .22

I'm still testing and getting the feel of the gun, but here are my preliminary results. It groups the JSB Monster pellets on medium and high power equally well and the JSB 15.89's on low power. I was hoping for good results with the JSB 18.13 on low power but at the present settings they aren't grouping well. Even the lowly Crosman pellets grouped pretty well on low power, but with occasional flyers so I rated them good minus.

It makes no sense with the 18.13's because they will group very well at less than 600FPS in UK 12ft guns generally, in fact my Redwolf groups them brilliantly at that power but the trajectory is like a rainbow.

Step over the 880FPS mark with the 15.89's and I have never seen them shoot well!

Is the Pulsar HP a poly barrel like the RW HP?

Your high power results match my Wolverine R HP .22 exactly except I am getting better results with the 18 grain JSB’s than you. I bet you they both have the LW Poly barrels as the velocities are identical with the same tight ES as yours.

Unfortunately I don’t have the option of changing power levels unless I tear the gun down and adjust the regulator.

I don't know if Red Wolf results compare in any way to Pulsar groups, but here is what I'm seeing with the RW .22HP at 35 yards. Pellets straight from the tins, no washing nor sorting.

25.39 Monsters perform well on LOW (est. 751 fps), MID (est. 858 fps), and HIGH power (931 fps).

21.14 H&N Baracuda Match are "ok" on LOW power (est. 889 fps), but inconsistent

18.13 are pretty good on LOW power (est. 889 fps)

15.89 are crappy on LOW power (est. 949 fps)

So, it seems that my RW .22HP likes the 25.39 gr Monsters at all three power levels. Perhaps the best performing pellet with my gun. And 18.13 gr are pretty good as well.

For most of my shooting, I prefer LOW power as the performance is good at my 35 yard range, the shot count is well over 150 rounds, and the sound level is lowest. I bump up the power for longer range and taking pests out of the picture.
