Hey there . . . new to air gunning in general. I just purchased my first pcp - a bundle that Pyramyd Air sells. It's an Air Arms S510 XS Ultimate. (.22) It showed up today and I've assembled everything and even ran some pellets through it. The first of, I'm guessing many, questions to come:
I've recently seen a youtube video re: cleaning the barrel of a new gun - should I do this / is it necessary? ( I didn't purchase any cleaning "stuff" - ie; cleaning patches, a pull through, etc ... )
Also - I noticed when testing it just a while ago out in my back yard that the safety on the trigger DOESN'T auto-engage between shots. Is this normal? ( My old RWS 34 break barrel always engages the safety. )
Last question - this one may be related to the first re: cleaning. I've also seen a few youtube videos re: "leading in" the barrel. If you guys do recommend I clean it right out of the box great - I'm open to recommendations and I'll find someplace to buy. If ok to just shoot it right out of the box then . . . I've seen / read on the web where many people suggest you shoot 50-60 shots through it before even bothering to really try and get consistent grouping out of it ( ie ; accurately sighting in the scope ) y/n?
Hopefully these aren't to idiotic questions . . . Thanks folks! ;-)
