New pcp choice

Honestly for the price of the M2R Ultra-Compact X I think you could get a much better gun. Unless you are looking at closeouts of the pre-X models which I see minimal differences, I would get a Wildcat III instead of the M2R. FX Wildcat III Compact is 26.75" long. The M2R "compact" is only 36" long - that is not compact.

The Leshiy is a great little gun. Easy to change barrels and calibers, powerful if you want to turn it up a bit, accurate once you get the hang of it - can be twitchy on higher power only weighs 4lbs. But if you want something you can shoot .177 down to 12 fpe and .30 up to around 70 fpe, isn't as complicated as the Impact to tune, is hand pumpable. Overall just a really solid fun gun to own. I shoot out to 40 yards and very accurate when I do my part. But - definitely not a bench rest kinda gun.

Ok so, thoughts on ataman m2r ultra compact, and edgin leshiy (classic) for this category. Thoughts?

APPLES TO ORANGES HERE...

I’m talking about compact category. I know they are not similar guns, but I’d like to hear people’s opinions on them nevertheless. I really like the look of the leshiy 2, but the price alone will keep me away. The leshiy classic is in the ballpark price range I’m looking at, but I’m scare by the small air tube, and lack of magazine. I do really like the size and weight though!

For the money I’d buy the brocock bantam before the wildcat. Much more rugged, and I don’t need the crazy adjustment the wildcat gives. I’m more of a ‘shoot out of the box’ kinda guy!

Brocock's a solid brand and they build a really nice gun. The XR series is very good. I personally felt it was a bit inefficient though. With a 480cc bottle filled to 250 and only putting 30fpe it couldn't get more than 60-65 shots after tuning it. My feeling is that Daystate makes the Brocock line just a little bit less nice, less efficient to keep customers coming to Daystate for the luxury guns.

Ya know, the more you tell us about what type of shooting, what features you like (or not), how much you like to tinker (you just cleared that up) ;), if you want to do any tuning, etc, the more it helps with recommendations.

Here's some others to look at (I haven't owned these, but they seem to be what might appeal to you):
