New NSA 142gr .357 vs Old NSA Slug : Any Big Difference In Performance

So, I just happened to go by the NSA website looking for some deals, and I see the new 142gr slug is very different than the older style. Here is a photo of the older style NSA 142gr .357cal slug for reference:

A fairly significant design difference!

Has anyone been able to test these new slugs out, and if so, how did they perform?

If they perform differently will depend on your particular barrel twist rate and settings. When NSA changed the style I ordered a couple boxes of each size diameter to test what the barrel likes for group size. I haven't shot them into my gel block yet so see if the hollow point acts any different. But I would suspect it is going to be about the same. Here's a picture of my testing and overall group size with all three diameters thrown down range this past week. There's well close to two dozen hits there at 236 yards. There are some wind hold fliers, unregulated hold errors (notice the bottom group), and rushed shots all mixed up in there.
