I got my new .25 cal Impact on Wednesday and I have been shooting and tuning on it for two days now....I love it. It does take a lot of tuning if you want the real accuracy from it. I'm not new to tuning rifles as I shot rimfire benchrest for several years but I'am new to tuning these air rifles. I tried the method everyone suggested, I set up my chrony and got it set to the speed range I was looking for with the 33.95 grn. MK2's and then started tweaking the micro adjust and the front valve adjustment etc.....I guess I was too concentrated on staying within a certain speed range and my groups were not what I was looking for. Today I started over, I set up the chrony and got the speed range I was wanting and then I quit shooting through the chrony and just started making fine adjustments on the micro wheel and the front valve while shooting groups and I finally got it dialed in the way I want it. I shot three last 5 shot groups that were all almost one hole groups and I called it quits as it was getting to dark to shoot anymore...., I was shooting at 50 yards today but tomorrow, I'm going to shoot it on my 100 yard range in the woods and see how it does. I'll check it tomorrow through the chrony to see what the speed is now but I really don't care as it's shooting lights out now and I'm not changing anything on it. I got the 1st reg. at 160 and the 2cd reg at 130, the front valve is about 3 1/2 lines out, I'm going to measure it tomorrow with my calipers. Last night I removed the barrel and cleaned it really well and did some light polishing by hand with a cleaning rod and some JB Bore Bright and I re-installed it for the slug port instead of the pellet port...using the slug port raised the FPS about 35 from the pellet port. Here's one of the 5 shot groups I got with it this evening......
