First of all this is a wonderful community. New Guy here. Been reading this set of forums for a couple of years. Air rifle usage three plus years. Lots of reading and learning has been had for me. So far not much to contribute being a newbie. When I can I will help with what I know to repay this place.
Now my question,
I have had a Yong Heng compressor for a couple of years. Use it carefully and do as recommended. No problem until today. Been running the appropriate hydraulic oil. Then after reading what you all have to say bought some Royal Purple Air compressor oil. Drained old stuff and replaced with the purple. Enjoyed a nice morning of shooting then decided to top off me small carbon fiber tank. did the process of starting and had it up to approx. 4000 psi and then I heard a rattle, then a bit of oil spewing from the vent holes from the tall oil base cover. Pressure already built up was not lost. I shout off the tank and bled off the pressure and shut down compressor. Not overheated only got to 55 Celsius. Studied things for awhile while pump cooled off compressor. Fired it back up with plug in tank fill hose, closed the knobs on side of compressor and watched it build pressure in hose to 1000 psi. That was it. Rattle was gone but pressure was minimul. Knobs checked on output side of compresser. Snug and tight. Released knobs again. Let it cool off and drained oil.
Any suggestions from the AGN brain trust of where to start ?
Thanks
