New member here..... looking at first PCP rifle.

New guy on the forum.... not new to firearms or guns, I have many but, have never owned a PCP Air rifle before.

I am a lefty and not sure if the side lever would be a hindrance or not...
I am looking at the Airacuda and Airacuda Max but, I also have been looking at getting a AEA SS HP 10 inch semi auto as well.
Will be in .25 caliber regardless .... Most likely will get a air compressor as well since a few friends are getting rifles as well.

Any thoughts on the Airacuda and AEA SS HP models?
I really don't want to go over $600 for the purchase of the gun.

Thanks in advance.

forget everything you know about firearms when going to pcps lol

whole different planet haha

as for the lefty thing,im a lefty,
and having the side lever on the right side is perfection, you'll dig it

you can keep your left hand on the grip and cock the gun with your right hand,
don't even have to take your eye out of the scope (assuming youll be using a bipod)

Airacuda and AEA HP SS are quite different to shoot. Do you value having semi auto?

If I were you I'd look for something relatively light weight, regulated (that means consistent powered shots), and in the same ball park as what you're already considering.... Air Venturi Avenger take your pick of wood synthetic or bullpup

If you like AEA that's fine but I would think about an Challenger SL .25 with regulator installed. The SS are nice guns for certain purposes, but I suspect they will leave you wanting something different if that's your first and only PCP.

Mdewitt71,
Welcome, glad to have you here. Since the Airacuda series has only recently been made available for purchase, suggest doing a SEARCH in the AGN archives for "Airacuda Updates." These ten pages, so far, will bring you up to date. I bought a .25 Max, even though I've other higher priced models, just to determine whether to recommend as a "starter" PCP, so far, the jury is still out. Best of Luck, WM

I am a left-hand shooter, too. The only guns that have been uncomfortable for me have been from the magazines. FX in particular. The Marauder did not float my boat either, but that had to do with length and balance. As far as shorties go, my bullpup Kral is the cat's meow for shooting from the cab of a truck or the back of the atv.

There are a few semi-autos that ***I have NOT put my hand on*** seem to put the charging handle right in your face / teeth. I would not get a semi auto for MY shooting plans. Fast shooting and accurate shooting do not often go together.

Welcome to Airgun Nation - there is a lot of passion, and a lot of good information, too!
