Umarex New Member- 2nd airgun arrival Zelos .25

Hi All- after spending some to practice at the range with my custom built 1911 .45 acp, I wanted to figure out how to have a little trigger time in my back yard. Then I found this site. My wallet is lighter as a result lol.

Huben GK1 .25 with some goodies from Krazcool arrived a couple days ago. What a dream air gun.

Then, I decided to purchase a Zelos .25. I really wanted the fix impact but the huben made me slow down $$. My Hawke 3-9 50 objective and mount arrives tomorrow. The donnyfl moderator arrives next week. The Huben adapter and regulator arrives next week. I am still on the fence about what tank.

Appreciate any thoughts on what direction to go. Cheers.

I have the zelos 25 with the hueban cricket and a tuxing 500 fiberglass bottle I bought on Amazon. It's shooting really accurate for me with H&N Baracuda 30.86 doing 855 fps I was shooting gravel stones at the end of my driveway which is 40 yds. Waiting for this crazy weather to get better in michigan before I stretch it out to 75 and 100 yds. Out of curiosity what the brand of your custom built 45 acp. I have a Springfield 6 inch in 45 that I sent to Clark for their accuracy job from when I used shoot bullseye. Oh welcome aboard I'm 9 pcp's deep in this rabbit hole. But it's enjoyable

Finally got the rifle zeroed in. I am using a Hawk 3-9x50 scope, donnyfl fatboy 2.0 moderator.

I love this rifle. I can only test 50 yards atm but it is running very tight groups out of the box. It is such a value for the money.

The Huben bottle adapter and regulator is on the way. I am going to hold off on the bottle mod for a while and get to k on it better first.

Thanks again for the help in this community. 🫡

I thought I would share an update regarding internal baffles.

I have a 3D printer and decided to try a couple different baffles to see if I could discern any noticeable difference based on design. They are based off of existing scaled/modded versions of free designs on 3D sites. I did not engineer them from the ground up. I did not have any expectations but it was just a chance to merge 2 hobbies.

Backyard back of napkin results. Not high science by any means. Just my own personal experience for fun.

I measured against stock using an spl meter 3 feet away.

Ambient noise level was about 55db. Measured each 3 times.

1. ~79.8 DB -Stock no baffles inserted into the shroud.

2. The two 3D printed models were roughly the same~ 70db. The Bravo3D I had on hand did about the same.

Subjectively, the tone of the report does change even at the same db. I found my version 3 to have the least Snap sound vs Version 2.

I plan to run this version with my DonnyFL fatboy 2 or impulse air moderator for backyard plinking.
