New Lelya .25 first experience

I have received my Lelya 2.0 in calber .25 recently and have started to get friends with it on 50 yards .

Initially my groups were a little off my expecttions but this was due to not having cleaned the barrel. After a good clean the full magazine ( 9 shots per sticker) comes like

Inner 2 circles of these target stickers is 1 inch. When taking out the worst pellet here and there I think one could say that 1 inch groups are repeatingly achievable . I only have the air cylinder from the Lelya leaning on a sandback when shooting from a garden table. Pellet speed JSB King 880 Fps. I get approx. 3 magazines of constant shots from 250 bar filling with this power setting. Not bad for this little beauty. Super built and high quality materials . I have sold my Kalibrgun .25 in order to finance the Lelya and even if the Kalibrgun shoots 20 fps. faster out of the box and maybe a little easier creating the 1 inch holes I am super happy with the change of airgun. The overall experience is just a little more enjoying to my taste in comparison with the also fantastic Cricket that never has let me down in the 3 years I shot with it frequently in many conditions. When I am plinking I shoot direct from a 3 liter 300 bar bottle that I fill from a 20 liter giant in my garage. All afternoon without the need to refill and easy precize left airpressure checking from the digital gauge on the Lelya. Maybe you can share your opinions on your Edguns , especially the Lelya 2.0 .

I've had my .22 Lelya since May. It is difficult to find the correct sandbag set up to get good accuracy off the bench with it. I went through five different bag setups before I found the correct one. The .25 with such a short barrel and spitting out 42 ft/lbs, is going to jump a bit. I need to even hold my .22 firm to the bags, your .25 will definitely benefit from a firm pressure into each bag.

I am curious about your sandback as indeed I have a bag not well fitting supporting the barrel/ airtube . Please let me know what you found to work well for you.

This is how I shoot from my back porch.

Neighbors asked me to remove pests that poop on docks and boats so I got a permit. Some shots are out to 150 so I have my range card to 150. To be honest I have only shot cans and such at that range... I just don’t feel comfortable shooting pests at that range... yet😊

I shot many groups this day. The best I have ever achieved with the Lelya is pictured. This is 5 at 100 yards. A normal group for me is around 1.5. I have 2” resetting spinners at 100 yards that take a beating with this setup.

The Lelya is not a bench gun by any means. It is a great pesting platform that can impress if you really bear down. Then you can pick it up and freehand squirrels at 60+ with confidence. For me It’s best feature is how well it freehands.

It is a very capable and versatile platform. I think you will enjoy it.

Drop the speed down to 840-850 f/sec and try shooting again.

I agree with Ed on that. I was shooting 1/2” groups with it at 50 yards at 850 fps. I dropped the velocity down to 760 fps for 32 ft lbs with just the hammer spring adjustment and my group size is the same but the gun is quieter. The new regulator from Ed is solid.

My scope is rather large in comparison to the Lelya but it does not make the combi bad for me. It is a DELTA titanium 2,5 -15x 56.

I understand now that most likely my group will get smaller when tuning a little down in speed. I do prefer that 880 ft /sec speed for flat trajectory of the pellet but if accuracy is badly affected I will make compromises. Thanks for all tips and comments. The Lelya is definately worth being in the picture .
