New infrared hunting equipment

Several choices around

Pard007 as suggested

Tactacam5 newest model

The Orion cam is more like the Hero style camera so very good qualiy. Orion is right here on the forum and has put together an outstanding product.

Here is a link where it was discussed a few pages back

One reason I have not purchased a Pard007 or even looked into the Orion stuff is fps. 30fps is just enough for video. If you want to slow it down and have it be of much value for analysis of shots, you need much faster "frames per second". Neither of the above mentioned devices offer that.

And, the GoPro option can get expensive too, because of the mount(s) required and GoPro doesn't have NV. But it does offer 240fps video.

Oh well, I have lived without all this up to now. (chuckle)

I vote for a Pard 008 with an external monitor like this video. I have the same monitor and its great.

I too like the nitesite style of looking at a monitor rather than through the eyepiece. (For night ops)

I don't think you are going to find anything in the IR or NV department that does more than 30fps (could be wrong) because high resolution requires a small aperature and high frame rates require a large aperature so they are working against each other already. Then you toss in low light situations and that just makes it harder to deliver high frame rates in low light conditions. If you find it, it will likely be very high end.
