I been lurking around for awhile. Proud owner of a old crossman 10pump bb and a benjamin np2 steel eagle. Now I'm bored and on the hunt for the next toy. Found 2 contenders hatsan at44 non qe short or the kral puncher mega.... I'll be hand pumping till I can get a tank and pump. Let the addiction continue

Careful! the handpumps put moisture in your gun and it compromises your tank. Don’t use them! Just get an air tank or rent a dry nitrogen tank and buy a regulated valve at ExpertHPA

Welcome both of you. I noticed the Kral is a bit nicer than the Hatsan. I have many Hatsans and I'm not prejudice to the brand then got a Kral Puncher Breaker and wow! Buy a Yong Heng with a good filter fill directly to your gun then you're all set. YO!

Hey Yo, I see you all over the place. Do you think the Heng still puts too much moisture in? A good, and I mean good, filter costs a good bit, and it is still not 100%. Don’t you think a move towards a tank or inert gas (if your rifle can handle dry nitrogen) is better?

Nitrogen would be the best to fill your PCPS no question. You do need a good filter for the Yong Heng however I do know people who fill their guns without. Of course knowing this I wouldn't ever buy one of their guns. Same with the hand pumpers who don't use moisture filters. I think it's the cost or ignorance that keep folks from getting a proper set up. YO!

I go inert myself. As a solution for beginners you can always find a pcp that has a cheap removable tank so that you can hand pump and just throw away the tank after a couple years and have a spare for when you go high pressure tank or compressor.
