New guy from southern il

I just ordered my first nicer air rifle and accessories from Utah air guns. They were a pleasure to deal with, this is my first pcp gun. I went fx streamline walnut in 22 with fx pump and athlon talos 4-16. I’m mainly wanting to punch paper and a few starlings. I also got some jsb pellets, any advice for a guy new to pcp? I’ve shot a lot of 22lr,17hmr and larger centerfire rounds over the years and still own a weatherby 7rem mag. Heck I might even squirrel hunt with the fx!

Welcome to AGN and to the world of airgunning. You're off to a fantastic start. The FX Streamline has a great reputation....lots of satisfied owners. My guess is that you won't use powder burners for squirrels anymore, and will prefer your Streamline for all small game. It is also predictable that you'll soon tire of pumping, so save your pennies for a compressor. I prefer the Shoebox compressor because it's inexpensive, simple, ridiculously cheap and easy to maintain, and reliable. It's slow, but that's the only downside. You can fill your gun directly from it until you can find an affordable tank. I was patient and persistent and found a FREE one at a dive shop (expired). Have fun and keep us posted with your experiences.
