CRITICAL UPDATE

WE have a new .22 gun on route from Brain at ED-Gun West R5M- ,22 long .It will arrive tomorrow March 5 , wouldn't you know we had 12 inches of snow last nite , So TITUS and I were outside battling the driveway , While we had Colleen clearing a path to shooting area and targets . We will try out the 30 grain noe and the MP 36 grain and some , JSB redesigned 25gr in it . We must clear areas for the gun to come , the UPS guy wont get his feet wet , I even offered to give him boots , OK so I will update with some targets , then I will need your guys help on picking the proper ammo and scope for gun . as Time is running short ,

WE ARE BEING TAKEN OVER BY MANY COYOTES , RACCOONS . POSSUMS , AND THEY NOW HAVE AIR SUPPORT , MEANING THEY BROUGHT IN CROWS , STARLINGS AND GEESE TO TAKE TITUS AND ME OUT , SO WE MUST CHOOSE BEST AMMO , AS TITUS IS IN DANGER , i WILL GET YOU GUYS THE FPE OF AMMO AND SOME BC AS WELL , OK BACK TO BATTLING SNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha Ha Brent I did not get what you meant like take a sick day , had to read it 2 times , Well I dont have to do this as I am retired , But I have to feel well enough to shoot .It is tough for me in winters here with cold and snow , Even being retired In winters I have little time to shoot as with the cold my body just doesnt work no more , But a new gun does make me move like a kid again lol

HI I got gun sorry I installing bipod rail and set trigger , and went to clean gun and barrel was very clean perfect .

I also removed regulator and tested it was 125 bar and I set it to 140 bar as this is for slugs .

I did not shoot yet my hands are hurting to bad ,I I cant move my fingers again with pain and whole body hurts darn it , 

I so want to shoot but cant yet ,

I will say this , the cocking lever and trigger are smooth as butter 

more smooth then my other guns , even my edguns , like they found a way to make same looking things better hmm ,

I thought it was just me saying it felt better so I did this , I removed stock from other ed gun and had , colleen and 2 friends cock both and ask what feels better , all said this R5 lever and trigger feels better , and other ones were good ,,LOL YOU GUYS ARE PROB SAYING SURE HE IS TRYING TO JUSTIFY THIS GUN I AM NOT .

So here is my plan tomorrow

chrono gun with 30 or 36 grains to try to get 50 to 60 fpe , at 140 bar reg setting

with low harmonics , and then If I cant , I will exchange , to a 30 caliber plenum or a huma and retest , so stock will stay off till I find best combination , I am trying to adjust gun for 2 slugs only 30gr noe and 36gr mp , but I also have some jsb 25 and 33 to test ,

I know gun was designed for jsb 18 but I already have that set up , this is for long range and power to take out the the larger ENEMIES .

Here is picture of gun the scope I got on it and also here is a pic of the Edgun R5 regulator and next to that is a Huma R=5 regulator with a .30 caliber manifold , not sure if I need this yet

Man, sorry to hear about your fingers/hands.. Same deal here..
Chemo/Radiation related peripheral neuropathy.. It's a total buzzkill.
Especially this time of year when I'm/we're always cold..

Anyways.. I hope to hear that you start feeling better, 
and get to tinker and test more with your new gun!

ok I did get my mp slugs and check fit on magazines and they fit perfect in length and diameter , here is pics of them . I also tried the Noe they are perfect too , I think I will get my cleaning rod or dowel and push a few slugs threw to see if any need to be sized but I am happy they fit , I am happy with this I had problems with other mags just being not deep enough to shoot these unless you shoot single shot .I got about .40 in extra clearance . meaning if they were longer it would not cycle or not push in . here is pictures

update I got a chance to chrono gun and tune hst here is where I am today

jsb 18.13 gr @ 1040fps or 44fpe

jsb 25 gr 900fpe 44 fpe

Noe 30 gr 815fps or 44 fpe

MP 36 gr @ 740fps or 44fpe

so over weekend I got some tuning ahead of me as I want to use the slugs only in this gun so I am looking for about another 100fps or 15fpe more before I start to shoot gun

Hey, make sure you don’t shoot any of those raccoons or coyotes. They don’t seem to be bothering you. They only come by at night.

....I’m just concerned that if the critters become armed, they could shoot you, possibly in the leg or lower back, and then if humans don’t have hospitals anymore, you will have to die slowly in a bush over a few weeks. I just don’t want you to have to experience something like that. 

Maybe better if you don’t shoot at animals...If they get armed then you will be on their bad side. I heard animals are total jerks too who will shoot anything that moves for no reason. 

I am starving though right now. Could you get me some skunk meat?

Seriously though...just make sure you can hit what your shooting at in the brain, if you can’t then don’t shoot at it. An Edgun should be accurate enough for that. Have fun!
