new glass good and bad

It would depend honestly on what you were using the scope on ( springer or PCP) . What kinda price range you had in mind . And mainly what you would use it for .
Everyone has their own priority on optics. For me good glass and solid build and good tracking are top of my list . Other features mean nothing if the scope doesn't have these things .
There's a lot of great scopes out there .

For some reason people tend to forget about turret tracking, and i'm not just talking about return to zero but what you dial vs what the reticle actually do. If you are planning to use the turrets to make corrections keep that in mind (like Joe said) :)
Obviously there are a bunch more things to keep in mind (weight, dimentions, magnification range, paralax adjustment, ffp vs sfp, etc, etc...) but i just wanted to put that in the table.
Cheers
