New FX Dreamline Classic

Thanks to all those that recommended the FX dreamline. I am impressed with the accuracy. I just got received it yesterday afternoon.

25 caliber FX dreamline with DonnyFL converted to 22 caliber 600mm Superior STX barrel from utah air guns. I still have the full 25 caliber conversion kit with one 25 magazine.


125 bar regulator. Hammer spring 1 rotation from max. Medium power setting. Looks like my dreamline comes standard with power plenum and (dual transfer port hole ?)

890-920 fps

1 ragged hole at 41 yards with 6 shots JSB 18.13

Left group with quarter is 8 shots JSB 18.13 at 70 yards. Right group is 11 shots at 70 yards.

Looks like you have it dialed in just right. How many shots per fill do you get with the current tune?

Nice shooting. The Dreamlines, especially the Classics, seem under-appreciated - or at least they don't get the same amount of press that many of the other FX guns get. But they truly are great shooting guns and they really get the job done. My wife has one in .22 cal, and she actually got to shoot it for the first time yesterday since last November when she broke her elbow in a bicycling accident. And it still brought the same smile to her face when she shot it.

I just shoot from 200 to 150 bar with 2 magazines (36 shots) and then refill. I read a post yesterday in the PCP compressor section about how at 2000 PSI, the compressed air can not hold water. That’s why I fill up at 2000 psi.

Very nice. Those groups will get even smaller as you get used to the rifle I'd say.

I just looked at mine, and your right it has the plenum on it. Where, or how can I tell about the transfer port.

I’m waiting on scope rings before i can shoot mine. Sad i know huh?

You can tell about the transfer port as soon as you loosen the barrel and slide it out. I just bought a Maverick Compact 22cal and it has the new transfer port on it. P on one side and S on the other side. The ports are just like the Huma version.

Also at max power settings, which is about 140 bar, max hammer spring, and high transfer port, I am getting 995 fps with 18.13 JSBs and 895 with 22 grain FX hybrids. Is that about what it should be?

After 140 bars, velocity starts to drop. This is with a 600mm 22 STX barrel.

Hmmm,

what is a budget scope ring for the classic? One that will fit with the high capacity mag.

That sounds about right. The Cyclone was my second FX and I still miss that gun. I hunted squirrels for years with that thing shooting JSB 18.13's. I've been thinking about getting a Dreamline Classic, but I was kinda holding out for the wood or laminate stock version.

@ ddn3f very nice shots with your settings ; mine are almost the same , except I put a 500mm heavy slug liner . Accuracy is pretty good but it seems that the shotcount is low , about 30 shots from a 230 bars tank . How is yours ?

Moreover , does the 600mm barrel make a big difference in term of accuracy ? I know it increases pellet speed , but is seems so long regarding the small shroud diameter ; doesn't it need a barrel band to avoid POI shifting ?

I use a barrel band and I just always shoot 2 magazines (36 shots) and then refill. So I can’t tell how many shots on a full fill. I am taking it out again now that winter is over. @aldea6
