New FX Crown owner

I have a Crown on order (.22, 600mm) and just found this thread. Lots of really great information - thanks! I plan to mount a spare 30mm Sightron S Tac series scope on BKL Std height rings. These rings measure about 1 inch from the bottom of the scope mount to the bottom of the scope tube. Assuming I can position the scope so that the tube is over the magazine, will this combination clear the larger 18 round magazine?

I have an S-tac 5-20 x 50 on my Crown with BKL highs and I have to slide it forward more than I would like,

so the saddle doesn't contact to magazine. I think Bob-O has a similar issue (but with different mounts and scope). I have heard the smaller magazines, like from a Streamline, will allow more clearance

Hi all! I am also a FX Crown Owner. I've been searching long enough for some tuning information, until I finally found this.. very interesting and useful informations here.

My Crown is in .22. It came with a Reg Pressure of 130 bar. Out of the Box it shoot the JSB 18,13 @ 885 ft/sec. It grouped really good at 100m. At least for my skills. 10 shots under 2". But with time the reg pressure changed and the consistency went out of the window. When taking the Reg appart I noticed a fine scratch at the valve stem. Might have been the culprit.. I swapt for a Huma Reg.. all good so far.

Bob O. When you mentioned maxing out the hammer. Could you give me a reference how far you went with the screw?

geo,

I'm at The farms right now so I can't give a detailed reply. But if your D5 screw protrudes from the slider by 5 mm, that should give you maximum compression.

You shouldn't need that much though unless you're going to tune above 140 bar. However that's always a good place to start and once you tune the hammer wheel to your target velocity, you can then reset the hammer wheel to Max by adjusting the length of the D5 screw.

I made a video on that very subject if you'd like to look it up. I think it's titled how to reset the hammer wheel to Max.
