New FX 500 Royale in the house.

I just received my 500 Royale today, it came in a plastic case Naked and Afraid and when I picked it up it was so light I felt bad so I went to work drilling and tapping holes in the forearm for a picatinny rail and then I gave it a sling stud on the rear butt stock, it still was feeling light so I decided to dress it to add some weight, needless to say it still feels light but it's such a nice looking Airgun that I can't wait to get it out to the range tomorrow and feed it some JSB's. I don't have a name picked out yet so I'll call it a it hahaha...Anyway here it is Naked in the case and then dressed with a Hawke SF 4-16x44 and Hawke rail level, rear Accu-shot mono pod and a Atlas knock off bipod.
.
If any of you 500 Royale owners have any input on do's or not do info please let me know, this is my 1st FX and now I'm ready to shoot.
Here are a few pics.

Beautiful gun! Love the bi-pod and the single stand at the back. Could you give me the product info on those parts? I'd like to look those up.

Just got mine NIB yesterday too. I tried all the heavy pellets I have on hand and I find that the JSB 25 gr shoots very well but at 930+ FPS. Tried the Barracuda 31 gr and they are very accurate and drop down to about 865 FPS which is good. I don't have any MKII 33's to shoot. But I DO have some coming in the mail :)

I get 930 fps on dot 1 and 660 on dot 2 with the 25's.

So far, it stacks pellets in one small hole at 30 yards. Hoping to get out to my 50-100 yard range. Can't wait to see what this thing can do in a challenge.

Oh yeah, and I have the Hawke Sidewinder 8-32x56 IR

Enjoy !!

Thanks all, I'm sure it will be a shooter and I do have it set on two and my tanks are full so im ready to go and put some lead down range, I hope I don't have my expectations set to high with this Royale being I only have my .25 Marauder, .25 Bullboss and .25 Hatsan bt65sb Elite QE to compare it to but from what I've read it should be above all 3 of these so fingers crossed...

I was going to get a royal. definitely one of the best hard working guns out there and light enough to carry all day.
I got a rawbm500 instead and its a brick to carry.. I just bought it for bench work really.
if I was going to buy a rifle just for hunting the royal would be high on the list. how could you not like it.
good choice.
I currently use a ds airwolf .177 and have a aas510 .22 42 fp.
out of the 3 its hard to pic what one I like best.
for all around use thought id pic my aas510. hella gun for the price. and it just carrys really well in the field.

so many choices out there for us air gunners and its good.
I wish I was 15 again so I could start anew with all these choices!

I figured I would get at least 2 tins through it before I brake out the ProChrono and do some strings, I bought the Digital Link for the Chrono so I can record the strings and even do a printout if I want to but at least I'll be able to save the data rather then having to write everything down. I can't wait to see how it handles my 109 yard 8" gongs tomorrow.
My zero will be done at 22 yards then I'll see how it hits at 50 then I'll do 75 yards and any corrections I need to make will be done with the no-limit rings, then after I get the 75 yard zero I'll move the rings back down and see if it held the original 22 yard zero, I will mark the settings on the no-limit rings when I do the 75 yard adjustments so I will be able to just loosen them and move them to my marks and if it works out I'll do the same for 100 yards and then mark the rings again, hopefully it all works out like I want it to but I won't know if I don't at least try.

"Element"Nice gun! Wish mine had the carbon fiber bottle! Enjoy
I was surprised it came with a CFB also, I thought it was going to be a aluminum bottle too but then it only has the 2 power settings not the 3 I've seen, I'm guessing it's a new version of the 500 Royale because even the shroud is different then the aluminum bottle Royale shroud.

"Glem.Chally"I think all the regulated ones are 2 level from what I've read.
Now that you say that I think through all the reviews and reading I've done it was brought up that the newer regulated Royale only had the two settings and were coming with the CFB now. Anyway will see what happens tomorrow...
Reason for edit.......I believe the third setting is/was for the model with the arrow barrel if I'm not mistaken...
