Diana New Diana Chaser Through the Chrony

Yesterday was 60 degrees and sunny. I decided to clock my new (stock) Chaser. I used the single shot tray and had about 10 seconds between shots.

*It was set up in rifle form using the long barrel.

For the first 20 shots, I switched between RWS Hobby 11.9 and Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g every 5 shots.

1. 556 2. 559 3. 556 4. 560 5. 562 (RWS 11.9 Hobby)

6. 516 7. 512 8. 506 9. 513 10. 507 (Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g)

11. 548 12. 550 13. 545. 14. 546 15. 544 (RWS 11.9 Hobby)

16. 503 17. 507 18. 506 19. 504 20. 505 (Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g)

30. 497 (Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g)

40. 495 (Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g)

45. 496 (Crosman Hollow Point 14.3g)

Not bad and pretty darn consistent!

Marflow---what barrel is that in the top pic (carbon wrapped)? Looks longer than a typical Chaser pistol barrel, but shorter than the rifle. Also, where did you get that "double screw" barrel support/band? Is that a factory Diana part, maybe borrowed off of a Stormrider? Looks very sturdy and bet it clamps very well. I can only find one (standard Chaser/kit part) with the single screw. The single is probably just fine, but I always go for "overkill" on parts when I can :).

the double came a went and i found them early on when the Chaser first came out and i believe they were for the first Stormrider and the barrel is a Stormrider barrel cut down to 13 inches with an Air Venturi barrel weight and globe sight with a Marauder pistol adapter resized to fit the barrel weight and epoxied in place
the barrel band was squared up and 12mm ID -15MM OD carbine tubing covers the barrel, i needed 15mm to use the barrel weight
the weaver bits are M-Lok and of course lots of bit and pieces to get it done
i did one in .177 and .22
and the triggers have been completely rebuild with new pins, shims, longer screws, lighter spring and a trigger stop that was put in the sear so the trigger pull is 1.5mm
the 13 slot M-Lok that is over the barrel uses on barrel mount hole and of course the top of the barrel band

it was a slow build because of the parts needed and to find them

just a project as to see what could be done
a Buck Rail grip frame would change the look and of course the shoulder stock could be added
i have 6 Chasers in different dress and have 2 bandit barrels in .25 that are ready to go but i have been working on the front sight and how it should look
and other Bandit barrels in .177 and .22 but as soon as i bought them there was no more

I'm surprised there was enough "meat" on that band (the top, or barrel hole) to open it up to 15mm. So the "doubles" are no more, pity... That is one of the coolest builds on a Chaser I've seen, very nice work:).

i didn't it is 2 pieces
that is why i had to square up the barrel band
it is a illusion
i did the same thing with this 2240 with stainless tubing
the 2240 has a Swift Nickle scope and Weigand rings i call the pistol my Art Project with scope and everything over 800.00 invested

Hey marflow---very nice work as usual. I assume you have to wear your sunglasses when shooting that thing!:);):)
