I purchase the new version .25 magazine and the indexing pin fell out. Luckily I found it in my gun case where I store the mag. I put it back in the small hole but am wondering if I should add some super glue or have it replaced. Only about a week old. Anyone else having issues with the newer style mags?

I've had the opposite problem when changing the mag loading side, had a devil of a time getting the pin out! Unless something is out of spec, that pin should never fall out, and no glue should be needed.

Another question: on Daystates website it says the newer style mags were only supposed to be right side loading? Is there a reason for this? All my other older gen 1 mags you could switch this.

The older style mags could be used from either side by changing the pin so that they could be used with scopes with large parallax wheels. I too, prefer the older style because they also have the anti double load prevention.

CARM is reliable, accurate, cheaper and blocks off the last shot so you don't end up firing a blank. No anti double load feature though like the new Daystate mags.

It isn't an anti-double load design. It self indexes each time the lever is pulled, which withdraws the probe from the mag, allowing it to advance, same with the CARM.

I'm looking at the daystate huntsman revere in 22 is this the mag you are discussing? I really like the looks of the gun. But $120 bucks for an extra mag kinda got me backpedaling

Robert, I just received a .22 Revere today. Adjusted the trigger and mounted a scope, hope to shoot it tomorrow. Did a chrono run indoors with the JSB 18, AV 855, ES 4. Got the trigger consistant at 10 ounces. DS mags are expensive, the CARM is equally functional at substantially less. How many mags do you need? I have an FX Royale 400, and a Weihrauch HW100, both in .22. I consider all 3 as informal target/hunting rifles. I'm retired with some time available, so I'll compare the 3 and decide which suit me better. Maybe I'll post my thoughts on the matter.

I have a couple of the CARM mags for my Regal and they work great and function as they should but being 3D printed they just don't have quite the fit and finish as the Daystate OEM mags which should be understandable but for the price difference they are a great alternative. If the Daystate mags were the same price I'd definitely go with the Daystates.

What you do is always make it a habit to always always always put it on SAFE after cocking the gun (ANY GUN) that way you can see is it on SAFE-?
