I cant find these new mags on AoA any one got a link?
As I understand it, the new magazine cures the gouging of the pellet probe issue. But in doing so the non-double load feature has been eliminated. I emailed AOA a few days ago asking whether Daystate will make some provision for in-warranty replacement of the old faulty magazines. As yet they have not responded.
I just ordered a Wolverine from AOA, in .177, and requested one mag of each style. I'm not concerned about the old style stretching up the probe, I just want accuracy improved, guess we'll see. Building a mag that aligns properly isn't impossible, some other makers do it. Maybe DS has finally been embarrassed into action

I’m not sure if this is a class problem, or if the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I’ve read some posts regarding issues with the DS magazines over the past year. Frankly, I’ve owned three DS Renegades, all in .22 caliber. And each one had two magazines. I never experienced any issues in any of those six magazines. I have friends that have DS like the Pulsar, Wolverine, and Renegade, in .22 and .25, and none of them have magazine issues. I’ve shot over 730 at 25M BR with my Renegade using the magazine... Lastly, I had on loan a .30 Safari and used the magazine for all my testing. No problems (other than the fact that it only held five pellets).
I guess what I’m saying is that DS has been making these magazines for over five years but to just recently start hearing about it is strange. Not saying those that reported issues didn’t have problems. Just wondering what percentage of all DS magazines sold actually have issues? 1%? 5% 25% ??? I tend to think it’s closer to the 1% Vice the higher numbers... IMHO.

On the Daystate owners forum some months ago they told me that there only know of 4 or 5 instances worldwide that have magazines causing probe damage. Interestingly, I have 2 guns that both have pellet probe damage...what are the odds? My Pulsar damage isn't bad but using the magazine on my Renegade actually puts a hole in the probe, the accuracy is bad and it goes through breech seals continually. Using it with the SST, no problems.
It seems to me that it was only a very few instances worldwide that Daystate would make some provision for those 4 or 5 unlucky people. Instead they do a complete redesign of the magazine and eliminated the actuator lever assembly that causes damage on just 4-5 guns worldwide? I don't buy it.
I wish I had received the old magazine. The new one is fast loading and more shots. However possible double loading and loosing the counter is very poor planning on DayStates part.
