New crony!!

So I’m looking to buy a new crony, I had an alpha crony but I was using it a couple weekends ago doing some testing. My big ol Rottweiler decided to bump into me when I was shooting and the crony took a .25 cal mk2 at 880fps. Needless to say it don’t read right anymore.

So I decided to take a look for replacing my crony alpha and it appears they are hard to find now. Was wondering what kind of new ones are out there. Not wanting to spends hundreds on something because the alpha crony was 100$ and worked well.

I'm happy with the Caldwell that I got to replace my Alpha. It has a cable and an app that will link it to a phone. It was $120 at a local store.

And I feel you on the dog thing. I have one that goes in the house when the rifle comes out and another that's being trained to lay down behind me when the fun begins.

ive had many a chrony,
ended up hating and selling every one of them,
until i got my fx chrony,
the price is worth it for ease of setup alone.

plus all shot strings are stored in my phone,
and can view them as a list or a graph,
also nice is the fact that it speaks the velocity numbers,
so i dont even have to take my eye out of the scope while the lady tells me how fast the last shot was lol

i see used ones in the classifieds once in a while.

I have the FX and Prochrono chrony’s. I use the Prochono with a diy light kit more often as I find it more accurate and it has better data logging than the FX.

Thank you for the info! Much appreciated, crazy how fast things change I pretty much stop with airguns for 4 years. Kept everything I have but just didn’t have the place or time. Now I live on 42 acres and I can’t get enough of shooting my air rifles, really brings me joy to be into it again! Gotta love the hobby!!!
