I can say that even my .25 Maverick 600 is quiet enough that people on the other side of my fence and some thick bushes walking don't hear it 20' . The max fence height is 7ft, in most areas to my knowledge and another 14" to so with some lattice work.Another regulation stopping you from protecting your family and pets.
I think the one of the few solutions, if possible to do safely, is be not seen or heard, S.S.S.
This type of scenario has already played out with mountain lions in CA. Only a few kids, joggers and Mtn bikers have been killed so far..so Karen’s consider that a win..Not controlling animal populations seems "nicer" to many people but in reality it is more cruel. The population gets too large for the food supply, the animals get desparate and attack any possible food source and if it continues they starve. It's hard for me to see where that is "nicer".
Which do they prefer, I wonderThis type of scenario has already played out with mountain lions in CA. Only a few kids, joggers and Mtn bikers have been killed so far..so Karen’s consider that a win..
At least the yotes smallish stature will ensure that only pets and small children will suffer from californika stupidity.
IMO highly dependent on the Police Dept, Sherriff, DA in your area and what laws you may have broken in addition to killing the yote. Nevertheless, if the yote was attacking my children on my property I wouldn't hesitate to take whatever remedial action necessary to stop the threat ASAP!Which do they prefer, I wonder
On a more serious note.
In this California situation, if one encounters a coyote attacking a pet or child is there any punishment for killing it?
(The coyote, not the child))
IDK probably depends on the pet. Cats taste like chicken. Poodles would be French cuisine. Yea..kidding.Which do they prefer, I wonder

I have shot and, will shoot, every one I see.
