New Contiuum barrel?

Wonder IF FX will make available a.22 500mm barrel kit with the superior slug barrel. For target the 700mm is great but hunting pesting which I'm into it's just too long. Or is there someone around who could cut the 700mm shroud to fit the 500mm superior barrel?

All the SUPERLITE components interchange, the other day I got the .22 500mm & 600mm HEAVY SUPERIOR liners and like you only had the 700mm CONTINUUM, I simply took the shrouds I had in those lengths and fitted them to the .22 set-up!

However it is very easy to shorten the longer shroud, the liner actually floats in it, there is no location at the inner end, hence the length you end up with is not critical.

How do you cut and thread the 700? What tools are needed?

You need a lathe to do it properly, you can make up a threaded end cap and just bond it in rather than trying to re-thread the thin ali tube internally.

Ok I'm not going to get a bunch of equiptment. Think I'll sell the 700mm barrel shroud plus slug barrel both never used. That should offset the cost of a 500mm barrel shroud withe the superior slug liner/barrel.
