Brocock posted this on Facebook today. No other information. Will this new magazine be compatible with existing guns, such as my 6 month old .22 Sniper XR? Would love to know more info, price, availability, etc
Well, it really shouldn't be difficult for a new Brocock magazine to be backwards compatible, unless they have totally redesigned the system for their next gun releases.
With the Brocock system the tip of the pellet probe contacts the release shown by the blue arrow, quickly allowing indexing just before the pellet is pushed into the chamber.
There is no indexing pin which pops up out of the bottom of the action like on older Daystates, which required a lower release on the old magazines (left mag in photo below) vs their new hinged-opening mag (right mag in photo below).
I definitely do prefer loading the hinged Daystate magazines, so I look forward to that design being available for Brococks for my Sniper XR.
