New Brocock Bantam Announced

There's some detail on the new Brocock Bantam air rifle in Hard Air Magazine.

This new PCP is a version of the Compatto, with a larger air supply and more power. It looks very interesting to me!


I'm told that the first guns for the USA are "on the water" and they are in .22 caliber, set to give 27 Ft/Lbs of muzzle energy.

HAM claims it will come with an adapter for second-stage silencer. Looks great and sounds promising!
What still puzzles me is why all pics show a cantilever scope mount. Two high mounts should be able to do the trick and avoid placing the scope so distant from the barrel.
Will read more to educate myself on what appears an unnecessary complication.

I believe the need for the cantilever scope mount is that this rifle being a hybrid bull-pup has the action further back. That necessitates the scope being placed forward for proper eye relief. The scope pictured is one of the MTC scopes that only needs eye relief of about 1 1/4"'s as opposed to the typical scope that has 3" to 4"'s. Bill

Thanks Bill. I agree with your comment about the eye relief. I guess that with a different scope you can fit it much lower, as shown in a few YouTube videos so far.
Nice to know this is one more way you can tinker with this beauty. Now, if it only came regulated... but then the price would align upwards.

They will come in the USA with a "Reflex" moderator already installed on the gun.

The rifle is not regulated, but given the impressive shot count, one can easily compromise for a lower count in the 10/20 fps variance range and still enjoy a day out in the fields.
And yes, the air tank is supposed to be removable.

Given the popularity of the brand/model, you should expect aftermarket options to become available very soon. Including a better cheek piece.
