So after 4 straight days of LOTS of shooting at all hours of the day and night; the following are my only negative observations/findings.
  • As shipped, the trigger was set light 10-12 oz, but it was set up as a really long creepy single stage. This is incredibly easy to fix and AoA and Ernest have great videos on how to adjust wildcat triggers (and more). It takes longer to watch the video than to actually make an adjustment. The trigger is now set as two stage with a distinct stop between the two stages making it very light, crisp and predictable. Very nice!
That's pretty much it. This one works as designed and expected. From a personal preference, I wish it would have come OEM stock with the pic rail for optic and bi-pod. Even better, a 20-22 MOA pic rail for the optic. These features just seem logical for a airgun of this type.

Shot a lot of 10.34gr pellets today, at 72,82,90, and 98 yards. You sure can learn a lot about shooting in the wind beyond 70 yards using a .177

I probably shot 200 rounds today. Didn't even bother the 3 landscape workers I was shooting over or to their sides. They just kept quietly working.

Update on the .177 Wildcat after almost daily shooting this entire period. It has become my favorite early morning 6 am shooter. So quiet on output noise and low mechanical noise and small impact noise of .177 pellets. I have shot close to 3,000 rounds of JSB 10.34gr with wicked accuracy at just under 20fpe.

A week or so ago, it developed a leak at the valve housing junction at the breach next to where the cylinder makes its connection. Will not hold air. Obtained a RMA for warranty and got it shipped out today. Look forward to its return from this minor hiccup so I can enjoy some more early morning sessions with coffee before heading to work. This one is definitely a keeper!

20 fpe is pretty powerful for a .177. Sounds like a lot of fun. My RAW .357 is quite a handful out in the field. Your Wildcat can go all day; no muss, no fuss :). You're doing a heck of a job converting me to a match guy!

I agree on the 177 being overlooked for the bigger cals

Marauder 177 was my first gun, then the 22 and the 25.

They all shoot well, but for consistent stacking of pellets at 30 yards the 177 does.it.

I find my self shooting the 177, then trying to duplicate my shots with the other two, and they are both good shooters, ragged holes or one just next to the hole with the others.

But if in a real competition out to 30 yards, i'd go with the 177, it is almost too easy, same set up from the table the others are excellent, but
the little 177 is totally and always consistent, none of the guns have flyers unless i have a bad pellet every once in awhile, but the 177's like to go in the same hole.

All three guns are dime size holes at 40 and solid quarter size holes at 50 yards.

The barrel is easy to clean with a pull through. The only small issue I had was a leaky valve housing that was quickly fixed under warranty.

Other than that, keeps on shooting accurately and dependably. Only new topic related to this is the arrival of newly redesigned JSB 13.43 monsters. I’ve shot enough at distance to watch and know they are stable but have not shot enough to fully determine accuracy.

best proven pellets so far are the AA and JSB 10.34s

So do you remove the barrel to clean it? Or just pull a mop through a few times? In my recent experience with my Marauder and not getting the barrel clean, I'm wondering if removal is necessary.
I removed the barrel on the 25 to clean it when I got it. It was very dirty. I doubt I could have gotten it clean any other way.

And if you are using a pull through, what are you using? Mine is a bit too stiff to make the turn at the breech to get it lined up.

I leave my barrel on and use doubled 30lb fishing leader material through a straw. No problems. Sometimes, I have to use a small Allen to fish the line out if the mag well. Easy. I run two wet and two dry patches every tin of 500 whether it needs it or not. The barrel never gets "filthy" but I do Lube my pellets with R.E.M.Dry with teflon. Sprays light and dries completely within a minute.

I do this with both wildcats and I've had the other one almost two years. By anyone's measure, I would say I am a "frequent" shooter.

Sounds like a tried and proven routine. I usually just shoot until I start to see the groups getting bigger :) Maybe cleaning a little more often would save me using 200 patches to clean one barrel (reference to cleaning my Marauder).

Stepped up to the phone and ordered a Unicorn today myself. I was really going back and forth on the Bobcat, the Wildcat and the Pulsar. I went outside to shoot a little and I just love that silly Wildcat. Not sure what it is about it. Went back in and ordered one in .177 to be my pesting gun. And maybe my BR 25m gun too. We'll see how it shoots. If I get into the BR and find that I'm really enjoying it and I need a better gun, I can just get something like a RAW or whatever else is working for me at that point.

I may have been convinced to get the BC or the Pulsar if I could go somewhere and hold one and feel the weight and such. That is pretty hard to do unless you are lucky enough to live near AoA or Utah. But my WC is a KNOWN to me since I can shoot it every day. I'm looking forward to having fun with the .177 in the near future.

I'll be putting my Gen 1 Marauder .25 and my Gen 2 Marauder .177 in the classifieds after the first of the year. I like them both, but it is time for them to move on to someone else to help them grow into the dark side :)

I was thinking I would order that to be delivered while I wait on the gun to get here. However, anyone tried the DonnyFl Sumo on the 177? I have one on the 25 and I think it might be too good for the 177. The Sumo reduced my 25 down to a slight "click" and that is all you hear. You know your sound so when I tell you I measured it at the shooter's ear at 61 dB, you know that thing is so quiet. Ridiculous quiet. :) So The Huggett Belita is smaller right? I wonder what the cost comparison is.

Not sure if you need the same adaptor as for your .25. Donny would know. The .22 Sumo makes .177 silly quiet. Quieter than mouse fart. Maybe cockroach fart? ;). I tried mine on my Bantam and it made it so quiet I could only hear the hammer spring and the sound of the Target. I think you couldn’t go wrong with any of the 3. FYI, Donny told me he plans on making a shorter 4 inch Sumo early next year. Just get the correct adaptor and use your .25 Sumo, it’ll still make it silly quiet.
