Thanks for sharing! From what I understand the "LR" stands for Large Rifle and the "SR" stands for Small Rifle. That's why... "I would also probably choose the LR-10 for bench shooting, it's a big stable mofo." lol That's also why you see the difference in the leg width and feel the additional weight.
Different strokes for different folks! It's no surprise that some shooters will prefer the old models. They are a little more streamlined than the new ones. The good news is that the old models should be dropping in price and possibly going on closeout.
The LR / SR nomenclature makes sense, I surmised FC was Field Competition, but they stumped me on BR! The SR-5 G2 works well on my Leshiy and feed solid on my Sako. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot with either yet, but man they dial right on up to the heights that I need and feel nice and stable!

Also, what are your thoughts on these guys over the long term with frequent field use? I'm guessing there could be circumstances where stuff could get inside and they'd need to be serviced. Have you had any of them apart yet?
I probably wouldn't hesitate to peek inside if I had to, but I'm not anxious for that day to come.
