New AA S510 XS Carbine

I have been looking at lots of different options for a lightweight sporter airgun for squirrels and pest birds. I also have bemoaning, for a while now that I don’t have anything in walnut and nice finish. So I ended up checking both boxes and got this in the mail on Friday.

I definitely did well in getting a pretty gun, but I am not sure I can bring myself to take this into the woods. It may be a little too pretty to get scratched and dinged.

I got it out and shot it this weekend. I am pretty sure it will stack the Air Arms 18 grain pellets at 30 yards, it seemed to like them a little more than the JSB 18 grains. It was a bit windy so the groups were just a little bit strung horizontaly. At 60 yards they were stringing quite a bit more in the wind.

Pretty happy with it.

@cea1960 Cammo wrap is a great idea. Does it give you a nice grip on the stock, doesn’t shift around at all?

I could probably have a gunsmith put some nice studs on the stock. That would let me sling the gun for walking to the woods, and give me a place to attach a bipod for bench work.

@ranchibi The tactical chassis is a great idea too, I would have to check the weight difference on that though.

Thanks for the suggestions
