napairgunner, thanks for the reply re/ the Rowan SSL ! I'll go ahead and order one. I'm not a fan of single shot trays, this loader concept (what CARM adopted too) is way better and easier to use.

And I'm glad to see that there are still SL lovers. Mine has performed flawlessly since day one. I only upgraded the reg (put a Huma reg).

Yes love the SL FX should have kept it as they have done the Royales. The Rowan SST uses a set screw to keep it securely in place so if you prefer to only use that you will really like it I go back and forth between that and the magazine since I hunt with it as well. I also plan and putting a huma reg in mine with the XL plenum as well which I think will be a nice upgrade for it as well. I prefer the easy adjustability of the huma's over the OEM FX ones.
