Wondering how many hove gotten a ghost in 177 and especially the hi power and your thoughts on it
It would seem you are correct! This is why I asked the question to try to find out how they are progressing. I would like to get a high power 177 and don’t quite trust fx for 1 but Daystate seems to make very good shooting 177 also id be saving some cash over a m3Looking for reviews or even normal users thoughts I don't think many of the HP's have been sold in the USA. I have yet to see one in stock even for a millisecond.
Thanks for replying nice to have some info to go on! How’s the accuracy @ 50 yds?I have one of the first HP .177s, Shooting 16.2 JSBs at 935 F.P.S. at 155 bar set pressure, with power wheel on 4. 78 shots on fill with the last 2 or 3 off regulator. E.S. is 17 F.P.S. with un-sorted pellets and 10 with sorted 16.1-16.15s (that is the weight of the majority) with a head size of 4.50-4.51. I have a batch with head sizes of 4.53 and larger skirts that need to be pushed in the mag. with an allen wrench and a good bit of force. These shoot about 10F.P.S. slower. I have over 1200 down the pipe and no problems.
Thanks for the additional info will be glad to hear more as you collect. Was told by aoa they probably won’t have 1 till march anyway and weren’t positive on that.Accuracy is one inch or less at 50 yards, but I have not shot it in less than 10 m.p.h. cross winds. That is with bipod and me stabilizing the but with my left hand between the bag and but. I have a bag rider on it now, but have not shot it with the addition yet (new .30 Rattler has been my focus}. I was looking at my velocity stats and was wrong on the 935 at 4. The 935 was P.W. on 12 with the fat ones. The 4.5 16.1s are 929 at 4. The 16.2s are921 and 16s are 932. Max velocity at 155 bar with the 4.50 16.1s is 955 at P.W. 12 with no gain above that. The small volume barrel just can't handle more volume. I did try some NSA 15 grain slugs and they shot pretty good at 30 yards. 13g H&Ns were all over the place. I did not run them over the chronograph, but the 13g slugs had to have been cooking. That was the last time I shot the Ghost and the end of my session. When it warms up and I get a calm day I will take it out to 75 yards. My Wolverine .177 HP will shoot three eights at fifty, but opens up at 75, so I do not expect much from the Ghost with the 16.1s, but I am hoping thr 15g slugs work.
