Mine just started to leak. Teflon tape and tightening did not fix it. I need a replacement whip. I see one from a forum sponsor that sells for about $100. Looking on line and Amazon I see a similar, but not as good as the one I have , in the $30 range. The claim is it's rated for 4500 PSI. I never do that. Am I dense in wanting to save about $75 and not getting the high priced model? I just don't know how much fluff and over engineering is involved in the higher priced fill whip. I know how dangerous HP air is. Run my own compressor and have done lots of SCUBA . I won't do unsafe stuff but am really wondering for this application is it necessary to spend the extra $$ on the higher priced product?

I just bought 1 recently. Actually just a 30" extension for the one I have. Haven't used it yet, but from the $30 price point I'm gonna try it.

shoot, i got a microbore 3ft one on ebay for about 20 and liked it so much i got a second one, tis 10mm ( i think threaded ends but i just use a long reach adapter made up with a male foster with it .. .. do yourself a favor if your dealing with any thread that needs tape to seal, ditch the tape and get some 545 sealant ..

I've never paid more than $17 for a microbore fill whip. I've gotten all mine on Ebay & they're 6,00psi rated. Only had one hose "blow" & it was a 3,000psi rated hose that had stainless steel braiding on the outside (think it was the 1st one I ever purchased). IMHO $100 for a fill whip is outrageous!
