Yes, there is plenty of wood up front to attach a picatinny or sling stud. People do it all the time. B&T Industries that makes Atlas bipods makes a kit for this type of installation. I think it's the BT17 installation kit. When you drill the holes for the hardware, you just countersink the holes a bit on the underside to allow use of the kit's cap screws to fit flush and not interfere with your guns bottle. Then you just substitute a sling swivel stud BT14 for the screw that came with the kit. If the sling swivel stud is too long, just cut it to length before final installation. Make sense? It's a pretty common installation and it only costs like $5.
Or, if you rather, you just use any sling swivel stud and countersink the underside for the nut and washer so it doesn't interfere with your bottle.
