Need scope recommendation - Artemis PP800

Recently purchased an Artemis PP800 from Wes with a regulator. Nice simple little shooting gun. I popped a simple RDS on the rail for now, but I'd like an inexpensive scope for it.

Here's what I am looking for:

  • Price: This isn't a precision gun so I'd like to keep this in the $100-$150 USD range.
  • Lightweight - this gun with the carbine stock still weighs near nothing. I don't want it getting weighed down with a heavy scope.
  • Compact - this is not a lot of rail space and I'd like to keep it short.
  • Zoom - I guess I'd go with a 2-7x or a fixed 4x which is more than enough for the 30 yards max this will be shooting.
  • Reticle - not too thick to obscure a bullseye and some holdover markings would be nice too.

I am considering some of the 24mm scopes in the 1" tubes but I don't know where to start in my price range.

Simmons pistol scope has been recommended by several who have and like it. 2-7 if I recall correctly but it is supposedly relatively small and light on a pistol. I have UTG pistol scopes in both 1.25-4 and 2-7 and like them a lot. I believe they are larger and heavier than the Simmons but for me they are perfect. Not sure of any others but I bet there may be some out there.

I have a handful of Hawke scopes and consider them to be very good well above the "sub 150" market. But I made the error of overlooking the "carbine" line in the original post and was posting about pistol scopes as the pp800 designation brings up a pistol. Hawke doesn't make pistol scopes as far as I can find. UTG pistol scopes are very good in my opinion (not particularly small or light) but not what was needed by the OP.

So I got a UTG 6x Bug Buster, nice features, but for low lite pesting. It just was not cutting it. I have on my Hatsan .22 cal springer a Vortex Diamondback, rimfire 2x7. Nice glass good tracking with the turrets.

But im replacing the UTG with this Nikon, 3x9 rimfire adjustable AO for $189.99 should be at my door tomorrow. Check it out

EDIT: never mind....I did not realize you gun was a pistol 🤷🏻‍♂️

I use a NcStar 2-7 x32 pistol scope on a couple of my pistols, paid like $64 new and they are Great....I have Leupold,Burris and Nixon pistol scopes to.Also have some Hawke scopes and tens more of other good scopes,,The Ncstar has less than 25 yd parallax and I have no problem shooting at targets a lot closer than that ....check them out for yourself....
