Daisy Need rear sight for Daisy 717

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a complete rear sight for the Daisy 717.
I've tried most gunsmiths and none have them. I may also be interested in one that is defective.

Thanks
Arvid

the sad news is there are none, oh there are some in a draw somewhere but to find that draw is very tough
let's, talk about rebuilding
the sight blade is what breaks, and they are not available in most cases and the windage screw retainers are gone also
to take the sight apart, you have to cut the sight blade off and i use a torch to heat a small screwdriver and melt cut it out
so, now you have the windage screw in your way and that damn clip, retainer pick one to remove, good luck with that, you will end up destroying it to get it off
so, i have been there done that, i did find a 3mm retainer that needed to be enlarged, Dremel used that works but you are missing the blade
i am at this time looking at a Ruger pistol rear sight as a replacement and have some 1/2 x 5/8 aluminum bar stock as a perch coming in but the outcome is unknown
could it work maybe but will it look like a drunk cobbed it together unsure
the key would be is it too high and that is untested
the item was on Ebay aand came with the front sights that are handy for us tinkerers

it appears to be a little high but the front sight could be made higher R&D and then failure or success but the 1/2 x 5/8 bar stock is a net-net fit for the filler and or perch
so, my hope was something anyone could do but not done yet

Hi to all, i had the same trouble, but took the DIY route, i made a 3D ´rint model of it and is available at https://www.printables.com/model/989139-daisy-powershot-717-rear-sight. if you want you can check it out.
I was able to buy a fully functional 717 (cheap) that had a broken rear sight. I asked one of the AGN forum members if he would mind printing me the two piece rear sight using Vacendack's file. It works fabulous. I did have to take a trip to Ace to get a 2mm bolt, 2 washers and a nut for $1.42 to use in place of the windage screw.

The two pieces fit snugly together although you can slide the sight for windage manually. I'll likely set it and then but some Blue Loctite on the joints to make it a snugger fit. Although the elevation works with the OEM screw and spring, I jacked up the OEM windage apparatus taking the broken pieces apart. The replaced "windage" bolt now just keeps the two pieces from separating and preventing losing the sight notch piece. If one were brave you could just shoot your pistol, adjust the sights then glue the two pieces together and forego the 2mm bolt set up.
