Need information concerning a Scott SCBA tank.

I am new to PCP and may have a tendency to make a wrong decision because of a lack of knowledge of how the game is played. In an attempt to save some bucks, I purchased a Scott 4500 psi 30 minute SCBA tank. It has a fill valve with gauge and a male extension threaded for CGA347. Is there a PCP fill valve kit I can get so I can use this tank for filling and topping off my PCP airgun? Sure hope I didn't screw up on this decision.

Yes there is. If you can remove the fitting that is on the bottle now and expose the SBCA threads all you will need is the Stikboy from air tanks plus. If you are unsure, call them. Very helpful and know everything about every combination and have most fittings in stock. I fill off SBCA threads all the time. No big deal.

That’s the same tank and valve I have. No need to replace or remove the valve on the tank.

Try airtanksforsale.com. That’s where I bought mine. The one I bought Connects By hand right to the scba valve and has its own gel filled gauge. The gauge on the tank tells me what the tank pressure is, the gauge on the adapter tells me the pressure in the gun.

There are plenty of cheap fill adaptor options from eBay, AliExpress, or Amazon that will connect to your CGA 347 interface. If you want to pay a lot more for something that may or may not be better quality, then any of the big-name airgun chains will have what you need. It isn't necessary to remove or change the valve unless it is one of the types with a separate extra QD nipple. Can you supply a picture of the valve that you have or give a better description?

I have a Yong Heng compressor that I will use to fill the tank. The tank is used and originally rated to 7500 psi. I have not yet received the tank but should be here next week. I did look on eBay and found fill kits that are supposed to fit the CGA347 fitting on the tank valve.

I appreciate all the input. As a newbie to the PCP airgun sport I am not quite sure what I need to ask or what information I need to provide at times. I appreciate you all's patience with me. Hopefully I will get this all sorted out with you guys help. Thanks a bunch!

i use one of the 50$ 347 adapters off ebay, works fine ... i didnt like the hose that came with it and installed a male foster instead ...
