Need help with trail cam!

So it’s not really hunting related, but I live on a private road, and someone has been taking mail from my mailbox at the end of my road. Multiple neighbors have been hit.
It’s too far away for a wifi camera, so I was thinking of putting a trail cam there, and hopefully getting something that when I pass it, I could download or view the footage from my phone.
Does such a think exists? And do they cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, there are trailcams that use cell service to send pics to your phone. As far as cost I can't tell you since it's been awhile since I last looked. A quick look at Cabela's site should give you a cost range.

Based on your requirements, any trail cam would work. They use SD cards. For the absolutely cheapest way, you can stop by and just swap out SD cards and view the pics when you get inside on your computer. Or if you have an SD reader that connects to your phone, you could view them at the camera. You can get them for as low as $30-35 on sale.

Some have screens on them, and you can scroll through them at the camera. I never use that feature, and they are more expensive.

I just take my SD cards with me and swap them out and look at the full ones when I get home.
