Need Help With Sieve

I bought some molecular sieve (HFS (R) Molecular Sieve Zeolite 3A 8X12 mesh). When I got the package the contents were in a silver sealed bag and hard as a rock. If it was vacuum sealed I could see maybe it is packed real tight, but I assumed it would be loose in the bag. I do not want to open it if it should be loose, I will send it back

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Based on your comment. The package was no longer vacuum sealed and the contents stayed hard as a rock? Do the contents break apart and give at all when you knead the packaging? or stay a solid mass? I have not messed with that particular sieve, but as the gentlemen above said, I would assume the package to be shipped vacuum sealed. If it is not, and the contents is hard I would not wanna mess with it. Curious if there is possibly a second vacuum sealed package inside the silver sealed bag? Just my .02
