Need help with shooting style for the Delta Wolf / Impact

I just got my Delta Wolf and my bipod arrived today. Thanks Tomcat for the great review of bipods, helped a lot. My question is, how do you guys with Impacts and Delta wolfs support the butt of the gun. With the bipod legs set at 45 deg , butt of this style gun is still to high to rest it on one arm. All my guns are standard style rifles, Red Wolf, etc. I shoot with it resting on a bag in the front and on my arm/hand under the back of the gun. Standard shooter method. The back of the Delta is so high that I need to put my arm on a bag to get close. I have seen some people using something attached to the bottom of the butt for support. Any ideas would be helpful. Getting used to shooting this style gun will take some getting used too.

Smitty, congrats on your DW!

I do a sock with rice to support my buttstock. simple, easy, works. There are other methods by the big boy producers that do well also.

I use an odd set-up, but I do it mostly because of serious back surgery. I can no longer bend over completely, so this HI-rise approach allows me to comfortable shoot.

Probably not for you normal people. ;<) "No, it isn't in position

Thanks for the ideas. I will try a bag setup and move to the bag rider if I can get it to work.

I replaced the butt with one from PRS with a mono pod. Works well and adding an extended rail to move the bipod forward also helps.

I have never used a bypod.

I feel more comfortable with a rest that I can set without takeout mobility.

The real accuracy depend of three support points:

Your rear elbow

Your back

The tighten of your fore hand 

Those three points with some comfortable rest (anything) will avoid movement and will allow you to keep on the target.
