So I recently bought my father an impact m3 .30 cal. While he was preparing to smoke a squirrel he got excited and fired the gun with the bolt open. A p.o.i shift did happen. Not sure yet how much of a shift yet.(weather) hoping to find out tomorrow. But before I start firing this thing I gotta ask.
My question is what happened to the gun during this event? What do I need to inspect to insure the gun is still safe for use?
He thinks the cocking lever slammed shut on it. He seems confused about what all happend.
Thanks for ur input.
