Need help about zeroing a scope

Hello all,

I have some problems about what distance to zero my scope at. I will purchase a

- Hatsan striker edge (spring) in .177 

i will scope it with a Leapers 3-9x40 AO mildot scope.

So my question is if i zero the gun at 20 yards, i would like to have a single Dead-on aim point between 15-40 yards or less what distance should i zero at?

I don't know what the actual FPS is from a striker edge in .177 

I will use the JSB .177 7.87 grain domed pellets

So if i zero the scope at 20 yards need i hold over a mildot at 50?

Use the free Chairgun app. It will tell you all the info you need. Just enter your pellet, zero yardage and ftps.

So i put all info in, but how do i know where my dead- aim yardages are

is it between 15-40 where i can hold dead on?

The bottom of the graph is showing your point blank range (PBR) for the kill zone you entered which appears to be 1 inch. PBR is what you are describing as "single dead on aim point."

Are you asking how much hold over or hold under (crosshair above/under target)? Or are you asking how many clicks do you need to adjust your turrets (compensate for your 20 yard zero)?

I will shoot 52 yards maximum no further

Just entering the fps you have 885 this is what I have at a 50 yard target with scope zeroed to 20 yards.-1.40 poi 11 click up on the turret. The reticle hold over shot is a bit more difficult without knowing the scope specs. Also what power your scope you will be shooting at.

Strelok Pro is my favorite app but it is a pay for.

could you make a list on 5 yard intervals where to aim for me?

I would just say that if you intend to stay at one magnification I would get a fixed scope.

So the numbers showing -1 are holdover right?
