I’m building a new gun from scratch. I need the dimensions of the length of the shoe, the distance from the arm engagement to the piston slot
the width of the grooves or slot.. .. any others too

figuring if I can use or I have to make my own arm.. When building guns ,it’s always easier to use pre made parts if you can .

The HW80 and the 95 use the same cocking shoe now. There's some useful information.

I have two on the way from the UK with an order of parts now that I placed on the 18th.
Hi,

Vortek sells two shoe sizes. A 26 mm shoe for the HW 35/95/85, Beeman R series R95, R35, R10. And a 30 mm shoe for the HW 80/90, Beeman R series R80, R90.

I've been trying to order a 30mm shoe for my HW 90, but Vortek is always out of stock. Who did you order yours from?

It looks like Chambers and a couple other places list one part number for both shoes.

Now that I have them in my hand, and looked at some other sources, I believe that is incorrect and there are two different shoes.

I got mine from Chambers Gun spares in the UK. Ordered on the 18th, got them today.

I'll be tearing down an R9 soon, and I can check the shoes out to see what's really what.

@A.G.R how's that gun coming along? You should post up some progress pics or pics of some of the previous ones for us to see.

l am confident that you need the original shoe for the HW90 and that the new HW80 shoe will not work.

Those are some killer stocks on those guns!

Surprised to see you use oring piston seals on high power setups. Ive never got them tame enough for my liking at lower powers without sleeving transfer ports down smaller. They are efficient though.

By "making a new breech block" you just cut it off from the front, and pressed the barrel in, yeah? Certainly makes it easier since you don't have to drill and ream a new pivot hole in exactly the right place, since its incredibly critical to make things work right. Also makes reusing the latching parts easy since they don't even have to come out. Are you planning to mill the cocking slot in the block deeper, or just put more angle in the arm to clear? Is that going to reduce leverage if you do? Moving the pivot point farther from the centerline of the arm?

Is the barrel machined from a blank, or is the factory barrel a LW and being reused, pressed in and faced back flush at the breech face? I've found that using a press fit in the breech block like Weihrauch and most use makes a tight spot at the breech. With the longer Webley block it might not have to be as tight to be secure, I dunno. Just thinking out loud.

Those are some nice looking spring guides.

...and nice looking titties in the camera roll 😁
