Need AIR

Just getting into Air Guns and I have my first rifle on the way. I am looking for the best way to supply air with the least investment. I have been considering getting a great white tank (the full armor package) which looks like it would be over $700 but I can get it filled at my local paintball shop for $10 and it should provide a good amount of fills. I looked at maybe getting a smaller used tank but after buying the connectors and everything needed I would still be out around $400 from my estimation and would have to refill more often not to mention I have hard trouble finding one with a good amount of years left on it.

I thought about getting a yong heng for around $300 but then I would need a moister device which I could either build or buy. The one from airguntanksforsale is $400 putting me right back up at $700 with no way to take air out into the field.

I am trying to limit my outlay of cash. I think if I get really into this I may have a compressor for the convenience in the future the only thing I really worry about is the safety of the compressor don't want it to blow up in my face or put moisture through my guns. I haven't looked into what it would take to get a large nitrogen tank and then possibly getting a smaller tank like the tiger shark.

Are there any options I am not considering. How often do good tanks show up used.. Most of what I find on ebay and else where have one or two years left and aren't worth it. I need something soon because I won't be able to shoot without it.

I have tanks and a Yong Heng. You can get a moisture separator off Amazon for $100. The only problem I have had with my Yong Heng is the temp gauge went bad when I first got it. The dealer was great and sent me another one. I use royal purple compressor oil in mine. It fills my taipan up quick and my marauder pistol very quick.

This is the compressor and seller I bought my Yong Heng from on eBay

Here’s the water separator and seller I bought from off eBay.

I purchased a scba tank with fill unit and 12 years left ( current hydro) from a dealer for $300 shipped. Better deal are all over if you are careful.

Have you looked at boosters? Somewhat slower and 100% reliable. I use a $100 hotdog shop compressor to feed my booster. For drying ( I live in LOW humidity ) I use the low budget harbor freight " water separator oiler" has the normal water collection part then an adjustable oil holding tank for silicone oil so I am adding a SLIGHT amount of safe lube with the air. Works a charm.
