I am considering buying either a Hawke Vantage 6-24 x44 or a Leapers 6-24x56. Both are about the same price.

Need Advice on Scope Purchase

I just got the vantage 6-24 SF to put on my HW97 a few weeks ago and I am pleased with it. Not extremely clear at anything above 20x but definitely usable. I love having the half mil-dot reticle. My biggest gripe is that the side focus nob on mine is pretty hard to turn but that might get better or I will have to make a large wheel. My brother also has one on a savage .22lr and it works fine too. Very solid scope for the money in my opinion.
