Hello everyone, hope you’re all having a great weekend.
I have a barrel shroud that used in conjunction with my moderator will tension the barrel on my Impact. Once I get the gun dialed in, I couldn’t ask for better accuracy. At times, I have to remove the moderator and when I put it back on the POI shifts a lot and accuracy can suffer too, until I get it dialed in again.
My question is this…Do any of you know of a thin lock nut or something similar I could use to keep the tension on the barrel when I remove the moderator?
I’ve tried a few different things and looked everywhere but cannot find something that does the job. I finally ended up purchasing a 1/2x20 lock nut and grinding it down so it’s thin and smaller. However, it isn’t perfectly symmetrical and isn’t as thin as I like. I’m OCD and can’t even look at it when it’s in place because it just doesn’t look right.
Anybody got any ideas of something I could use to solve this problem.
Thanks, Kevin
