Need A Little Help ::: Getting the FX Guns to work with the Predator Polymags

An Update:

So, I received my Sideshot magazine today. And YES the Polymags fit perfectly in the SideShot .... PROBLEM SOLVED !! 😎

I will say this though - not entirely sure what to think of the SideShot mag ... It seems very Unlike FX w.r.t precision engineering.

For example - after you've load the mag, if you tilt the gun sideways and then try to cycle it - it will NOT allow you to load a pellet. If you return it back to the traditional position - it works just fine. Also, I've found that cycling pellets is not as buttery-smooth as when using traditional FX mags.

Another BIG gotcha was that - once you install the SideShot system - you can NO LONGER use the traditional (i.e. non-sideshot) FX magazine.

FWIW - before making the purchase, I did check with one of the guys at PyramidAir if the SideShot system would work with both SideShot and Traditional magazines ... And he said YES ... Which is how/why I figured I'd buy the system ... Not entirely a deal-breaker for me, since I only have the 1 FX mag that came with the Impact. But, for any of you that own multiple FX OEM Impact magazines and are considering moving to the SideShot system - you may want to consider the additional cost of having to replace those additional mags as well.

Can those NSA HP's be loaded into the standard FX magazines? Or do those need to be single-loaded as well ?

Any idea how those slugs perform in a standard .25 cal barrel?

They fit into the standard mag with ease since slugs are shorter than pellets weight for weight. I don't know how the regular barrel shoots them but Palm Beach Airguns sells the liner for $109 They're in stock and PBA ships fast. https://palmbeachairguns.com/product/fx-stx-slug-liner/

Thanks mate ... Will definitely check em out! 👍

I have sideshot mags and the standard mags still work the same. The rubber balls hold the standard mags in place and shouldn't be affected by installing the sideshot system.

The instructional videos I saw on Youtube showed that you had remove those rubber balls.

As a matter of fact - if/when I DONT remove those rubber balls - I can seem to load SideShot Jumbo mag at all.

Am I missing something ?

Maybe it's because I have the original aluminum sideshot mags. I didn't remove the rubber balls and it wasn't in the instructions. I think they made the plastic ones deeper to hold longer slugs.
