Nasty pigeon feet

I made two silo shots at 107yds today. Here's a pic of the right foot of each of the birds.....nasty!!

stoti,

No slug liner yet. I'll give UA a call next week and see if they came. Would be nice if they get the liners in with the Dreamline shipment.

The Air Hunters already have a Dreamline in hand.

Side note, the Crown hammer tune kits are delayed. Ernest is working on an upgraded kit that will cost a bit more. Hopefully that won't take too long as I might not be able to push the heavier slugs fast enough with the Crown in unmodified form.

Yeah, I talked to Newman and Ernest both for a long time today. Both great dudes! They told me all about the delay and the new tune kit coming out, hopefully in February. That was part of what I was bummed about. What I was really bummed about is the .25 cal. slug liner. I was originally told Dec., then I was told I'll get it in January, but today I got an e-mail from FX Sweden telling me that Matt Dubber is coming next week to start designing the liner. I was originally told Matt did that testing three weeks ago. Anyway, the e-mail went on to explain that they only have one barrel making machine so it is going to be quite a while after Matt gets the slug liner designed and dialed before they have them made and shipped. I'm bummed and I know I'm impatient but there's nothing I can do but wait. Ernest was telling me the best option if I don't want to wait a few more months is probably to get a 700mm .22cal. slug liner with probe and then send my gun to him for the power tune in .22. He said he's got a .22 he's been testing with the varmint knocker 40gr. slug that's doing great. Have a good one.

One of the properties I shoot on has a huge coop, 3 rooms escape hatches 1/4" steel mesh locked doors. It is a never ending job antibiotic water, powders, minerals. He literally spends about 10 -12 hours a week. Several times he's lost most of the coup. (They are filthy birds) It's a hoot to watch the birds of prey hit them. The big Red tailed hawk gets about 2-400 yards over head, tuck in the wings and do a full speed decent. They get smacked so hard by the hawks body, they get knocked out of the air then the bird takes them on the ground. The Perigrine Falcons are a blur and smack them in mid air..
