Napier pull through cleaning system

Here's another episode in my barrel cleaning series, the Napier pull through system! This is the second commercially available system I'm reviewing. Overall, it's a good system and has an added advantage of being able to be used in .177 barrels. I will say, it's not my favorite system but, it does work exactly how it's supposed to.

Tom, I've really enjoyed watching your barrel cleaning videos.

I'm really partial to my Thomas and my Eddy R5M for ease of barrel cleaning. Mostly because I can use my Tipton Carbon Fiber cleaning rod and a .177 Dewey cleaning jag with the 7/8" round Patchworm patches.

My Thomas is a breeze because there is no breech oring to deal with. Just slide the swing port over and push the cleaning rod right in.

But what's really cool about my Edgun is that you can take the action off the back of the gun and I'm presented with the same situation. No breech oring to bother with as the oring practically falls out with the action when removed.

My Eddy is a .25 cal but I figured out a way to use the .177 jag. I just stack three of the 7/8" round patchworm patches on the jag and it makes a perfect tight fit down the barrel for a squeaky clean pull.

Was gonna leave some links but the site doesn't want to let me copy and paste today?

For my .22 Cricket and the Colibri. I prefer the Patchworm pull through with the white .22 cleaning head and the 7/8" Patchworm patch. But I use the .177 blue pull through line to slide my .22 cleaning head on. I have also cut the tail end of the line off right behind the .177 cleaning head to make it easier to fit in the tight area of the breech where the magazine goes. I get a really squeaky clean pull on both .22 cal guns.

For my .177 Cricket rifle, the Patchworm and the Crown saver is a toss up.
