Hello there peeps. Name some common FX Impact problems that I should be on the lookout for. Specifically the MK1. How long should I shoot before replacing the seals?

I wouldn't touch a single thing if it shoots perfect. I also don't fill any of my guns past 3000psi no matter if they can go higher.

Just tried the soapy water test and it passed with flying colors. Also, these bottles can withstand very high pressures. Even higher than the recommended psi. However, I always fill it up 10 bar below the recommended fill up. Never had an issue with my Dreamline doing this.

I'd say be on the look out for consistent strings, duplicate numbers and second guessing shots because they went in the same hole. You gotta really be watching close with these guns.

Seems like the C3 bumper is something which needs replacement on some of the older impacts. It will wear out after X ammount of thousand shots. It recieves the force of the hammer, and is quiet soft. Most replace it with one made of delrin when the time comes. I have so far never heard of thouse wearing out.

Tiny grub screw that holds pellet probe in place. Check for tightness with small Allen key but do not overtighten as could easily strip threads. If it comes loose can seriously affect accuracy.

More the second....the owners learn to dive sooner or later
First two months just watching it on the shelf....I had no courage to pickup the allenkey's... and now third time elbow greasing and a complete strip down in less then 5 minutes.
But takes me 5 minutes because always forgetting things, a screw a rubber ball, some springs....
Next time I will try w closed eyes

The most common problem seems to be people cranking everything beyond the maximum trying to get powder burner power levels from an AIRGUN. ...Then they complain the gun leaks.
As a point of reference, the new .35 Impact produces 130 fpe. ..about the same as a standard. 22 rimfire and it is specially designed for those power levels, the smaller calibers are not.
Just saying, be realistic with your expectations, reasonable with your settings and there will be minimal problems.

Believe it or not there are a FEW!!! who really KNOW what they are doing when they max out their Impacts and do have the knowledge and confidence to repair theirs in a pinch in 15 minutes on the spot out in the field. Charles Bronson is one of them.
