Results N50 Wed Results 12/13/23 Open Grove

Five shooters for our last match of the year. Cold quiet morning with some of the weirdest pellet shots I have seen yet. Definitely something going on that 3 pellet shooters could not figure out.
The second match was much more tolerable.

Merry Christmas to all.
On to the next year!

I miss you guys! Good to see Joe not holding back for a change.

Looking back over the year - apples to apples scores - 22RF handily beat air / pellets with the same scoring protocol. My impression is that air/slugs, when done properly (Dana, Mike) are competitive with RF, as you would expect.

I forsook benchrest for BE pistol. Partly over frustration with ammo issues in BR, but mostly because as I get older I'm more interested in determining what I can't do well. And that is a big question.

Happy Holidays to the Open Grove gang and all!

I guess I am surprised by this. Every time I scanned the monthly results, the pellet class air rifles seemed to compete very strongly vs. rim fires in Sportsman Class matches. Although, my two RF rifles easily beat my air guns with N50 practice cards every time. Point taken though.
