N50 Cards with RW Safari .22 and Anschutz 1907

Went to my local outdoor range this morning. Nice weather,...started out at 36 degrees when I began and reached around 50 degrees around 1pm. Wind was light ( 2-4 mph ) and I had a near flag out around 5-8 yards from my bench.

Shot my first three cards with the Anschutz with a Tuner, and used RWS 50 40g ammo, which the gun really likes. First two cards were with RWS 50 and the 3rd card was with Eley Match 40g. Scored with .224" scoring plug. Had a few 9's that were close to 10's, but that plug doesn't allow for much "wiggle" room for Pro Class scoring. First card had some flyers, and shot a 238. The 2nd and 3rd cards were solid 245's, but the wind and/or my technique got me on a couple of bulls.

Next up, the Redwolf Safari .22 HP shooting JSB 25g KO's. First card was a 236 and 2nd card was a 242. The 40G bullets with the Anschutz does buck the wind better than the 25g KO's, but also the front mechanical Randolf rest with the Anschutz is a big help vs. the Accu-Tac BiPod with the Safari

Have to say, I enjoy the N50 self competition and shooting against myself; and constantly striving for those elusive '250 scores.'
